Arcade Fire @ Brooklyn Paramount
In 2025 as Arcade Fire launches a new project: “Pink Elephant,” lead singer Win Butler faces personal accusations and risk of fan abandonment.
Indie rock darlings Arcade Fire recently invited Experienced Visuals to document their performance at Brooklyn Paramount on May 4. Recent events involving members of the band made the usually robust and enthusiastic promotional cycle for Arcade Fire’s latest album Pink Elephant unusually challenging. This dependability speaks to our commitment “beyond the news cycle,” under all circumstances of press and discourse. The underplay shows marked a pivotal moment in their Don't Think About the Pink Elephant tour, offering fans an immersive experience that blended theatricality, new material, and the band's deep connection with their audience, ultimately taking the show to the streets of Brooklyn.
This collaboration highlights Experienced Visuals founder Ryan Muir's long career in the NYC indie music scene, and the trust built with artists over the last fifteen years. Among the few at this selective show in 2024, Muir first photographed Arcade Fire on assignment for Pitchfork Media in 2007, and has since worked with the band’s production team both at home in NYC and on the road multiple times throughout their careers, establishing himself as a reliable source of documentation executed with high levels of integrity and consistency.
